Muralo Paints
The Muralo Company was founded in 1894 on Staten Island, New York. By the time of World War II it was the largest water-based paint company in the world with plants on Staten Island, Los Angeles, Chicago, Australia and South Africa.
From a start with 4 people in 1944, the company has grown to employ as many as 300. Edward Norton, the founder of Muralo Company passed away in 1974 but his son, Edward Norton Jr. continues to be active in the daily operations of the business. Mr. Norton Jr.’s three sons, three nephews, a cousin, a daughter-in-law, a granddaughter and a host of people who are considered family continue the business efforts of Norton & Sons.
The Muralo Company eschews big-box/Home Center distribution of its products in favor of selling to independent paint and decorating products dealers. It owns no retail stores and depends on its upscale and innovative products to attract dealers who in turn market Muralo products to discriminating do-it-yourselfers and professional painting contractors.

Ultra Ceramic Stainproof Matte redefines washability and service with its new matte finish. Latex or water based flat paints have typically poor stain and burnish resistant properties and as such are not recommended in high traffic areas.
Ultra Ceramic possesses all the desirable properties of an enamel while retaining a “flat” finish. Ultra Ceramic is not only highly scrubbable and washable, but is stain and burnish resistant as well.
Its tough, hard mildew resistant finish levels smoothly and provides spatter resistant application. Its safe to use, non-flammable and provides thousands of decorator colors in one of the most durable finishes available today.
